1991 A   tour  group of 24 Americans led by Dorcas Dorow visited Lermontov and the Stavropol region of Russia.

1993 Official visit to Osage by  Mayor, Sister City Chair and business leader from Lermontov. 
1993 Larry Kershner, an Osage journalist (member of Municipal Training Grant Team)  visits Stavropol Krai for one month.   

1993Official Stavropol Krai delegation to Iowa and in Osage for the signing of official agreement between Lermontov and Osage.

1994 Official 5 member Osage delegation team visits Lermontov.

1994 COSSACHATA, Stavropol City Youth Folk Music  group presents concert in Osage.   
1994Osage High School student visits Stavropol Krai as member of Iowa-Russian Youth Exchange. Two Stavropol Krai students visit Osage High School on the Iowa-Russian Youth Exchange.

1995 Olga and Natalia Shaposhnikova from Lermontov are guests in Osage for one month. Alina Bykova from Stavropol attends Osage High School for the school year. Official Stavropol delegation visits Mitchell County on an agricultural tour.

1995 Dorcas Dorow, Co-chair of Osage Community Sister City visits Lermontov as part of planning for the 1996 Youth Exchange.  Photo above shows Lermontov children dressed in native costumes greeting Dorow.

1996 Youth Exchange: "Unity in Diversity, Different Roots, Common Goals". Six high school students from Lermontov spend 3 weeks in  Osage. Six Osage high school students and a chaperone spent 3 weeks in Lermontov. Each group studied the history, culture, educational systems, and family life. Home stays were provided by both cities. The exchange was funded in part by a grant from Sister Cities International along with contributions from Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions Clubs and private contributions.

1997 "Anima Russa" and "Aurora Borealus" from St. Petersburg performing folk and classical Russian Music and Dance. Over-night stay in Osage. Co-sponsors Osage Community Sister City  and  University of Northern Iowa Orchestra.
