1995 Olga and Natalia Shaposhnikova from Lermontov are guests in Osage for one month. Alina Bykova from Stavropol attends Osage High School for the school year. Official Stavropol delegation visits Mitchell County on an agricultural tour.

1996Youth Exchange: "Unity in Diversity, Different Roots, Common Goals". Six high school studentsfrom Lermontov spend 3 weeks in Osage. Six Osage high school students and a chaperone spent 3 weeks in Lermontov. Each group studied the history, culture, educational systems, and family life. Home stays were provided by both cities. The exchange was funded in part by a grant from Sister Cities International along with contributions from Rotary, Kiwanis, Lions Clubs and private contributions.
